# DriveDesk 70 Percent DevOps Platform Milestone

This document records the public-safe completion model for the DriveDesk
DevOps/platform milestone.

It does not claim that DriveDesk is a finished commercial SaaS product. It
claims that the project has reached a serious DevOps/platform foundation: code,
tests, CI, release gates, recovery evidence, observability,
infrastructure-as-code evidence, GitOps evidence, and a repeatable public
engineering surface.

## Completion Model

The milestone is split into seven equal evidence groups. Each group is worth ten
points. All seven groups are present and validated, which gives a 70-point
DevOps/platform milestone.

## Technology Notes

- Kubernetes is the container platform target. In simple terms, it is the place
  where the API, worker, jobs, and services can run as managed containers.
- Helm is the packaging layer for Kubernetes. It turns the app into a reusable
  deployment package with values, probes, services, and jobs.
- OpenTofu is an infrastructure-as-code tool in the same family as Terraform.
  In this public surface it is used as plan evidence only: it shows intended
  infrastructure shape without applying changes to a real provider.
- GitOps means Git stores the desired deployment state. Tools such as Argo CD
  can compare the cluster with Git and show drift or sync status.
- Prometheus collects metrics, and Grafana is the dashboard layer used to read
  those metrics.

## Verified Outcomes

This records the current DriveDesk engineering state:

- the platform can be built and tested;
- the public version can be exported repeatedly;
- the public export has its own gate and secret scan;
- releases have rollback, canary, and staged-promotion evidence;
- infrastructure has packaging, plan evidence, drift evidence, and GitOps
  evidence;
- scheduled validation has an alerting path and runbook keys;
- public artifacts avoid customer data, private hosts, raw logs, and runtime
  secret material.

## What Is Not Claimed

This milestone is honest about the remaining work.

Not claimed yet:

- finished commercial SaaS;
- mobile applications;
- real provider integrations;
- live production cluster operation as a public artifact;
- paid onboarding and billing;
- long production incident history.

## Engineering Summary

DriveDesk is no longer only an idea or a simple bot. It has a platform
foundation and a public-safe proof chain covering build pipelines,
infrastructure, rollout safety, observability, recovery, security boundaries,
and public/private separation.

This milestone is not the end of the product. It is the point where further work
can move from DevOps/platform foundation toward product maturity.
