# First 30 Days Delivery Plan

This page shows how I would create value in the first month of a remote role or serious
fixed-scope engagement.

The pattern is simple: understand the messy workflow, identify the risky boundary, ship a small
working slice, then leave verification and handoff artifacts behind.

## First 48 Hours

| Focus | Output |
| --- | --- |
| Business workflow | Map the current process, users, data sources, manual steps, failure points, and success condition. |
| Technical surface | Identify repos, services, APIs, databases, deploy path, logs, secrets boundaries, and current tests. |
| Risk | Separate what is known, unknown, blocked, fragile, or unsafe to automate blindly. |
| First slice | Propose the smallest working slice that can prove value without overbuilding. |

## Week 1: Map And Stabilize

| Track | What I would do |
| --- | --- |
| Backend/platform | Read the domain model, trace critical flows, add missing smoke checks, document the first service boundary. |
| AI automation | Pick one document/transcript/ticket/operator flow and define inputs, retrieval/scoring, approval, and review states. |
| Integration | Define source/target contracts, field mapping, validation rules, retry/error states, and logging expectations. |
| DevOps/recovery | Check deploy path, env/config boundaries, health checks, logs, backup/restore assumptions, and rollback path. |
| Internal tools | Turn one manual workflow into records, states, roles, actions, and an operator handoff path. |

Expected evidence:

- workflow/risk map;
- first data model or integration contract;
- test/smoke checklist;
- first implementation plan with explicit unknowns.

## Week 2: Ship A Working Slice

| Track | Working slice |
| --- | --- |
| Backend/platform | One API/admin workflow with data validation, tests, docs, and deploy notes. |
| AI automation | Ingestion/retrieval or classification/routing path with deterministic tests and reviewable outputs. |
| Integration | First import/sync/webhook path with mapping, validation, error handling, and logs. |
| DevOps/recovery | CI/release gate, health check, smoke command, or backup/restore proof. |
| Internal tools | Small operator workflow that replaces a spreadsheet/chat/manual step. |

Expected evidence:

- code and docs;
- tests or smoke checks;
- log/health evidence;
- before/after workflow note;
- clear next slice.

## Week 3: Harden And Connect

| Focus | Output |
| --- | --- |
| Reliability | Add retries, dead-letter/error states, idempotency, validation, or rollback where the slice needs it. |
| Observability | Add logs, metrics, dashboard/query, audit trail, or health evidence for the new path. |
| Security/trust | Make sensitive boundaries explicit: credentials, approvals, untrusted input, host keys, data ownership. |
| Handoff | Convert the working slice into a repeatable operator path with runbook notes. |

## Week 4: Review And Scale

| Focus | Output |
| --- | --- |
| Demo | Show the working system against a real workflow, not only a mock. |
| Verification | Keep the proof inspectable: CI, tests, smoke checks, logs, screenshots only when useful, and docs. |
| Roadmap | Turn findings into the next 2-4 slices with risk, effort, dependencies, and expected value. |
| Ownership | Leave behind enough docs/runbooks that someone else can operate or review the result. |

## What I Need To Start

- one messy workflow or failing process;
- the current tools, repo, database, CRM/ERP/API, documents, or screenshots;
- one practical success condition;
- access constraints and what must not be touched;
- deadline, budget range, stack/hosting constraints, language, and handoff depth.

## How To Evaluate The Month

Good first-month output is not only "features shipped". It should answer:

- what changed for the business workflow;
- what risky assumption was proven or disproven;
- what can be operated repeatedly;
- what evidence shows the result works;
- what should be built next and what should wait.
